A turn-based part of the game is very like to that which occurs in the board game. The player takes the role of one of the five superpowers (the United States, the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, Germany and Japan) and selects one of the four authentic generals / admirals (Patton, Nimitz, Rommel, Tojo, Zhukov or Montogomery). Each of them has different special abilities (eg. Kamikaze, the atomic bomb, the discharge of supply, scanning radar).
